This is one of the main reasons why “Servers are too busy, please try again later” error comes when you play PUBG. Servers are created in such a way that they can only handle a limited amount of players at a given time. Suppose you’re playing at peak times like Sundays, evenings or at night.

These are the times when there are too many people playing the game. And it’s possible that due to many people playing from the same region the servers can’t handle that. Although it’s rare it can happen anytime.

Servers Going Into Maintenance

Another possible reason for getting the “Servers are too busy, please try again” error is because the developers might be updating the game. To update the game they have to put the game under maintenance mode. However, the players are notified beforehand of any of the server maintenance.

Low Internet Speed

This is the most common reason for getting the – servers are too busy error. You might not notice it but there could be a problem with your internet connection. Turn Off Firewall On Your PC

Finding the root cause of PUBG Servers Error isn’t an easy task and we have to look at every possible reason that would be interfering with your gaming experience. Many times the Firewall on your PC can be that reason. It could be blocking the game from accessing the servers so we just have to switch it off.

While there are benefits of using a firewall and it’s an important part of your system’s defense. But if it is the reason that you aren’t able to play any games then there would not be many benefits of keeping it on. Of course, you’re not going to do crazy stuff when you’ve disabled your firewall. Are you?

If you’re worried about turning off your pc firewall you can just switch it on after playing the game. It only takes 10 minutes for firewall to be switched on.

Here’s how to easily turn off firewall on a Windows PC –

  1. Open Control Panel. Select System & Security.
  2. After that, select the Windows Defender Firewall.
  3. At the left-hand sidebar, you will see – Turn Windows Defender Firewall On or Off. Click on this option.

Make Sure To Close These Apps

There are a few apps that cause problems when you run them with Steam. You should close those apps if nothing else is working for you –

1. Anti-Virus Programs

While there’s no denying that anti-viruses stop huge amounts of malware but some of them also block steam client id or don’t allow steam to receive updates and connect to the servers from your PC. Some of the anti-viruses which are known to do this are – Avast, Norton, AVG, etc.

You should disable anti-viruses when playing the game. After you’re done with your playing you can re-start them. The Windows Defender is great on its own if you’re frustrated with anti-viruses that slow down your PC. You just need to be extra cautious while surfing the net.

2.  VPNs

Are you using a VPN on your PC? There are tons of great ones like TunnelBear, NordVPN, etc. for some private work but are they important while playing any game? We think they are not!

If you’re using a VPN and then start steam, it will prevent the steam client from connecting to the main servers. Sure, it works sometimes by luck but are you ready to bet that it will work every time flawlessly?

You should turn off any VPN when you’re playing PUBG as it needs a solid internet connection for the best experience. So, if you’re using any VPNs just stop!

3. P2P (Peer-to-Peer) Clients or File Sharing Softwares

If you’re using P2P clients like Skype, Discord, etc. for voice chat that then you stop them. The reason is that they consume a lot of data which can be the cause of the game not being able to be connected to the servers. The same goes for BitTorrent clients. If you’re using them, just close them.

Final Thoughts…

These were some methods by which you can fix the PUBG servers are too busy error. However, these are just temporary fixes as there’s no permanent solution to this issue because it depends on so many reasons. There are many factors that are the cause of this issue.

You can fix everything from your end but what can you do from the game devs end? If the servers can’t handle the issue from there end you just gotta pray for this issue to go. Just kidding, use the above methods they work most of the time and you need really bad luck for all of them to not work.
